Nick's Story

Around the age of 12 Nick began to use drugs for the first time. Shortly after that, but the inability to sustain the habit, he began selling drugs. Years of addiction lead him to the place where in April 2011 he was kicked out of high school left with a laundry list of charges. Thankfully, in August 2011, Nick's encounter with Jesus changed his life forever. From that day forward, he has helped hundreds of people find freedom in Christ. He's also had the opportunity to watch God redeem and use things from his past to now build God's kingdom.

Propel Church - Sept. 2015

With the help of the Dream Team (people committed to the vision and values) My wife and I started Propel Church on September 20th, 2015 in Mount Pleasant High School. From the beginning, Propel Church has focused on reaching out to the un-churched community by sharing the life-giving message of Jesus Christ. We invite you to see for yourself how exciting church can be when the focus is simple and people are free to pursue God with passion!

Lead Pastor Getaway & Selah Leaders- Aug. 2020

After losing a pastor friend to suicide in 2020, I felt called to do something about it. The initial design was to take a handful of pastors to the mountains to talk about sonship, rest, and stewardship. We saw God move powerfully in the first trip with pastors, escaping suicide, burnout, and marriage is being restored. Fast-forward a few years due to expansion and growth we moved from just having the lead pastor's getaway as an event to a nonprofit called Selah Leaders. Now we have the opportunity to serve pastors from all around the world through creating events that equip them for rest and health. Additionally, we provide resources that empower leaders to embrace a lifestyle of rest.

Leadership principles I live by

principle #1

Everything I do is about Jesus

Jesus isn't in addition to my life, He is my life. Whether in church, business or in any other space I'm in, my goal is to leverage every opportunity to glorify and honor my Savior.

principle #2

If I build God's Kingdom, He will bless my castle

I believe scripture is true when it says that if we seek first, the kingdom of God, everything else is added. I don't believe that I am in competition with any other churches or pastors because of that leverage my time to build them up and encourage them. We all win when the kingdom advances!

principle #3

Sonship>Leadership

Before I'm ever later, I'm a son. Identity matters, and is crucial because everything flows from it.

principle #4

I refuse to live double minded

As a leader, there's a temptation to have two versions of yourself. But James teaches that a double minded man is unstable in all their ways. I refuse to live double minded because it jeopardize my future.

principle #5

Generosity isn't an event, it's a lifestyle

I've been blessed to be a blessing to others.
